This past Monday signified the first day of Spring. And as of today, the forecast for next week looks like Spring weather is coming. We hope to get out on the golf course with an army soon to get the place tidied up after the winter. A lot of tree debris has littered the course – including a few trees down in their entirety. Not much snow in the latter half of the winter and a lot of strong winds attributed to the excessive debris.
The golf course
wintered spectacular. The greens, tees
and fairways all look great – just as we left them in the fall. Here’s a couple photos of the golf course
from last week.
Here’s a photo of a putting green and the aeration holes
that remain from last fall. Once the
soil temperatures start to rise and we are able to get a roller on them, the
holes will fill in quickly. More sand
will be applied to the putting greens in the spring to top up any empty
aeration holes. Hopefully we will be
grooming our putting greens for success shortly and if this promise of good
weather stands true hopefully we will be golfing soon too! See everyone soon.
